Cogent has successfully delivered a monitoring and control system for the world’s longest fully autonomous light rail passenger transportation systems in Metro Vancouver. As the lead contractor, Cogent worked closely with all stakeholders to deliver a system that meets the client’s objectives of improved functionality, reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Cogent has tailored a real-time Facilities Monitoring System for Edmonton International Airport’s (EIA) new airport terminal expansion. EIA now has a fully integrated solution that monitors all of their operations from a central location, enabling them to respond to emergencies without compromising on service, quality or security.
Cogent has successfully designed and deployed totally integrated automation and controls for Pinnacle Renewable Energy’s new $42 million wood pellet receiving, storage and shipping facility in Prince Rupert, BC. Cogent also provided commissioning support and operator training to help Pinnacle quickly transition into operation and achieve their goal of shipping at 1,500 to 2,000 tonnes per hour.
Cogent Develops Operations Performance Management System for BDL
Cogent worked with Brewers Distributor’s Ltd. to develop a Historian, Plant Floor Display System, and Reporting System for BDL’s Vancouver Distribution Center. BDL is Canada’s largest automated distribution company with wholesale distribution of beer and the collection of returnable, refillable and recyclable beer containers within the four Western Canadian Provinces. BDL is owned by Labatt Breweries of Canada and Molson Breweries.
